If you can answer YES to any of these questions, Life Coaching can help. What is life coaching? Life coaching is a holistic process that considers individual needs and all aspects of your life. Everyone has different needs and desires and life coaching, through a structured process that harnesses those needs, allows you to start achieving your goals, and to change your life in the direction that you want to take. How does life coaching work? Life coaching takes place over a series of sessions, either face-to-face or over the telephone. Sessions normally last 45 minutes to an hour during which issues that need to be addressed are discussed. As your life coach, I guide you through the session by asking a series of questions that allow you to consider the issue in detail, perhaps helping you to understand what has held you back in the past, as well as consider possible solutions. At the end of the session, you commit to an action plan to address the issues and make changes to your life. Each new session then begins by discussing the outcomes of actions and the impact they have had. Life coaching is NOT counselling or therapy. Whilst it may consider issues that have arisen in the past, it deals in the present, focussing on taking action and moving you forward. To a life coach, there is no success or failure, only outcomes of actions. Life Coaching Services One-to-one coaching sessions – either face to face or via the telephone, these sessions last up to an hour. Sessions are booked and paid for in blocks of 5, although pro-rata refunds are made if coaching finishes before a block of sessions is used. It is difficult to say how many sessions are required as each person is different but generally, most clients require between 5 and 15 sessions. The Life MOT – a 2-hour session, this can precede a block of 5 coaching sessions or can be taken on its own. By taking you through a number of exercises, I help you identify which aspects of your life require action to make it “roadworthy” and help you to develop an action plan for doing this. Group coaching – a cost-effective way of providing life coaching for groups of up to 5 people (usually friends or colleagues), who can also provide support to each other between sessions. A group coaching session lasts up to 2 hours and can take place in one of your homes or in your workplace. Sessions are again booked and paid for in blocks of five. Corporate coaching or specific workshops for corporate use can also be arranged on request.
